Why this plant is in the formula
We cut lavender in June, when the spikes hold the most oil, and dry it in the attic — that same scent later lives on in December's batches. Linalool and linalyl acetate in the essential oil calm the skin and add a light herbal note without synthetic fragrance. Lavender is rarely the lead active — more often it's the element that takes the tension out of a formula, and out of the person using it.
