Rose hydrosol
I am distilling rose — the kitchen smells of the whole of June. I gather the petals in the morning and set them on the still the same hour: leave them until evening and the scent goes off with the water.
A toner for sensitive skin will come out of this. I will name neither a date nor a batch number yet: the hydrosol needs to settle, and only then will I know what to do with it next.
I checked the pH while I was at it — it holds where I want it. The figure goes on the label once it reaches the jars.
